Fullstack Job: Software Engineer (f-m-d)

We are looking for a developer to help us improve our current e-learning solution, build new features, improve the user experience and maintain high standards in terms of our technical setup. We are looking to build accessible, performant UIs with a strong focus on user experience. We work and make decisions together and address mistakes as a chance to learn and improve.

Your mission

• Help maintain and extend our current learning platform
• Participate in the design, development and maintenance of new features and components
• Help drive important external facing aspects such as the accessibility, user experience and design language of our platform
• Ensure security and data compliance throughout our services
• Help customers, both prospective and current, to make the best use of our platform by contributing to the user experience
• Collaborate with our stakeholders to understand problems our customers might face and work with them to resolve them

Your profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or demonstrable similar experience
• Strong English language skills, written as well as oral
• 2+ years of working experience in a (Web) Frontend Developer, Fullstack Developer, Backend Developer or similar position
• A solid understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Whatever the task you are ready to join in and figure it out, no matter if you are an expert or a beginner in the topic at hand

• Nice to have:

• Proficiency in TypeScript
• Thorough understanding of at least one major Single Page Application framework (our stack: React, Next.JS, Redux, Thunk, Saga)
• A good theoretical grasp of networking, protocols and application architecture concerning web application performance, security and trade-offs
• Ideas and constructive approaches for the long-term health of projects and their code bases
• Passion for growing as a team, sharing knowledge, figuring things out together and the willingness to learn from your colleagues
• Ability to work independently, as well as an effective part of the team
• Any lack of experience in the above can be compensated by a great attitude towards continuous learning and self-improvement
